Talyst is again ranked on the “Inc. 500” list of fastest-growing U.S. private companies
Annual rankings place Talyst #454 overall and #22 among health care companies
Bellevue, Wash., Aug. 20, 2008 — Inc. magazine today announced its annual “Inc. 500” ranking of the fastest-growing private companies in the country (www.inc.com/inc500). Talyst, a leading provider of pharmacy automation solutions, made its second appearance on the list, ranked number 454, based on a three-year compounded revenue growth rate of 696.6 percent (http://www.inc.com/inc5000/2008/company-profile.html?id=200804540).
This reflects the company’s growth from revenues of $3.4 million in 2004 to $27.3 million in 2007.
“We are honored to be again included in the Inc. 500, and all the more so in today’s economy,” said Carla Corkern, interim chief executive officer. “Even with the economic downturn and constraints on capital purchasing, we expect to continue to show very good growth this year, reflecting our market leadership in the pharmacy automation category.”
“Indeed, it appears that we are the only company in the category continuing to invest significantly in customer service, and research and development, demonstrating our continual commitment to our customers and to their initiatives to advance medication safety and efficiency.”
Talyst serves more than 300 hospitals, medical centers and integrated healthcare delivery networks, and is developing applications of its workflow improvements for other pharmacy environments. The company’s systems are used to prepare and deliver an estimated one million medication doses per day.
The 2008 Inc. 500 list measures revenue growth from 2004 through 2007. To qualify, companies must be U.S.-based and privately held, independent – not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies – as of December 31, 2007, and have had at least $200,000 in revenue in 2004, and $2 million in 2007.
