Redefining Pediatric Medicine

Join us, September 28, at the first Pediatric Medication Safety Summit in Bellevue, Washington to learn more about pediatric safety. The Summit is a one-day Educational Review System event hosted by barcode point-of-care (BPOC) expert, Mark Neuenschwander, who is dedicated to patient safety and the 2010 recipient of the Institute for Safe Medication Practices (ISMP) Lifetime Achievement Award.

Earn 2 pharmacy CE credits by attending two ISMP sessions. The first presentation will be an overview of the factors that place neonatal and pediatric patients at higher risk of medication errors and harm. The second presentation will discuss the benefits, as well as opportunities with smart pump technology.

In the afternoon, Mark Neuenschwander will interview a panel of pharmacy thought leaders from across the country. The discussion will focus on the benefits of technology within the pediatric patient population and the remaining gaps. We’ll end with an open discussion, where you can share your ideas and ask questions.
